Why we built this

MalibanStreet was built to bring that feeling back. Not to replace New Zealand — but to make sure you always have your people, wherever you are in Aotearoa.

Malith arrived in New Zealand as a student in 2011. From day one, he has been deeply committed to the Sri Lankan community, actively contributing to various volunteer and community initiatives. He played a pivotal role in establishing the NZ Student Foundation and served as its Founding President.

It has been his long-held dream to create a digital space where Sri Lankans in NZ can connect, support one another, and truly feel at home. MalibanStreet is the realization of that vision.
